Stone Mountain Park's Pumpkin Festival 2023 features thousands of pumpkins throughout the park, special entertainment, pie-eating contests, glow dance parties, and the World's Largest Pumpkin Light Show. The Day of the Dead Festival is presented by Historic Oakland Foundation, Consulate General of Mexico in Atlanta, Institute of Mexican Culture and the Office of the Government of Guanajuato in Georgia. There will be traditional dancing, crafts, authentic Mexican food, altars decorated with flowers, food and beverages honoring lost famly and friends, and more. Historic Oakland Cemetery is hosting a traditional Day of the Dead Festival for the 2nd year from noon to 5 p.m. There will be music and dancing at Decatur Square after the parade. Lineup begins at Decatur Cemetery and the route will run through downtown Decatur. The Haints & Saints Halloween and Day of the Day Parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. Dress up our pup in a Halloween costume and participate in the parade. The Doggie Day Halloween Parade is happening at 10 a.m. Participants are also invited to grab a brew and mingle with all the other wild things in the open-container festival zone before the parade. The public is invited to dress in Halloween costume and march through the streets of Athens. The 15th annual Wild Rumpus Halloween Parade & Spectacle in Athens is happening 8 p.m. Teen Wolf: The Movie premiered in January 2023, which has recently reinvigorated support and excitement from Teen Wolf enthusiasts. Developed by MTV, Teen Wolf is a supernatural teen drama that aired from 2011-2017 with a super dedicated fan base that has continued to grow over the years. Actors and actresses attending include Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Crystal Reed, Gideon Emery, Ornery Adams, Ian Bohen, Shelley Henning and more. The Beacon Hill High School Reunion - a Teen Wolf event - is happening Oct. There will be a market with local art, live music, a 3D haunted house, ghost tours, a sticker hunt, and the world-famous Halloween parade at 2 p.m. The Little 5 Points Halloween Fest & Parade is happening Oct. 24, author Ann Hite will visit Lost Corner Preserve to talk about her latest book "Haints on Black Mountain." 21 is a one-night, three-hour program that will begin with a short lecture on ghost-hunting and continue with an exploration of the historic property. Ghost Hunting 101 at Lost Corner Preserve in Sandy Springs on Oct. 31 includes a 3-course dinner, a bar with beer, wine and cocktails, live music and entertainment, and an interactive addition. There will also be music performances and craft beer and cocktails. A costumed docent will guide you through the cemetery's beautifully lit Victoria Gardens. The tour brings to life the stories of some of the cemetery's notable and notorious residents and allows visitors to experience Oakland Cemetery after dark.
